So what did you guys think of Infinite Crisis? Now that the series has wrapped I've decided it was pretty fun but somewhat anticlimactic. The final issue just did not have the punch to build on the momentum that the first four issues built up. Issue # 3 and 4 just plain rocked. In all honesty the one book that tend to surprise me the most is Villians United. Somehow Gail Simone made a bunch of second rate antagonist into a strong force to be reckon with. There's a bunch of twist and turns that continue to make the story intersting, but a big kudos goes out to her for what she did to Catman. The End: The Incredible Hulk, written by David (the current writer) and I forget who is pencilling it.

The End: X-men, Claremont is writing it, and I think Sean Chen (Wolverine, Elektra) is on board for the art.

Astonishing X-Men looks very cool although little detail about it was released. They did have a page of the script included which looked interesting I though. Whedon seems intent on bringing over the same sublte and dry sense of humour he had on buffy which I like and miss from X-Men days gone by.

What are some stories that you feel surpass all the ones past with these characters (if any)? It can be any book as long as they are a main part of the plot. These are the books that always strike a chord with you because everything was very well done. Like some of mine for Batman are Year One and Dark Knight Returns.
